Maximize Efficiency and Minimize Your Power Bill.
Standard, whole-house HVAC systems run at full power until a set temperature is reached, then the system shuts down, the temperature rises, and the process repeats. On a hot summer day, your air conditioning may run continuously for hours, just trying to reach that desired set temperature, over and over. Refrigerant lines and condensers freeze up from constant use, and the excess wear and tear this places on your HVAC appliances shortens system lifespans by years.
Benefits of Zoned AC & Heating
Imagine turning each room of your home into a “comfort zone.” That’s the freedom that a zoned Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC ductless mini-split heating and air conditioning system can offer. Assign an office, bedrooms, family rooms, and other spaces to a “zone,” decide what temperature you want that zone to be, and the system will quietly maintain that temperature while using a minimal amount of energy.
Choose a higher set temperature for rooms that don’t regularly use or aren’t exposed to direct sunlight. Select a lower temperature for family rooms, the kitchen, or any place where people gather in groups or are in frequent everyday use.
How Does the Mitsubishi System Work?
The essential components of a zoned air conditioning and heating system are the outdoor unit, the indoor unit, and the intelligent comfort controls. The system operates by transferring heat to and from an outdoor unit to one or more indoor units. The units are connected by pipes containing refrigerant, which absorbs heat and is used for both heating and cooling processes.
In cooling mode, the refrigerant absorbs heat inside the home and produces colder air by transferring refrigerant from the indoor units to the outdoor unit, where the heat is expelled. In heating mode, the process is reversed, and the refrigerant absorbs heat outside of the home and provides warmth by transferring the refrigerant from the outdoor unit to the indoor units. This heat transfer method — which works even in freezing weather — is powered by electricity and is much greener than conventional systems that burn fossil fuels during heating.
The outdoor unit is equipped with an INVERTER that enables it to quickly change the amount of power it uses and the amount of refrigerant it transfers to and from the indoor units. With the INVERTER, the outdoor unit only uses the precise amount of power needed to reach each zone’s preferred temperature.
Go Ductless.
Ductless heating and air conditioning units can offer individualized climate control over each room in the home, helping to reduce the amount of untreated air. Mini-split systems are much quieter than their whole-house predecessors, operating at a volume of 20 – 30 decibels, unlike a central air conditioner that can be as loud as 70 decibels or more. Go listen to your AC unit. It’s loud.
Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC heating and air conditioning systems are available across a wide array of products, from wall-mounted one-piece units, floor-mounted ductless air handlers, and ceiling-mounted air circulating cassettes.
Breathe Easier.
Mitsubishi’s indoor units don’t just keep each room in your home at the perfect temperature; they continuously clean the air of allergens, dust, viruses, and bacteria. Each room’s indoor unit is equipped with filters to improve your air quality directly, while the conventional system has only one filter installed in the central unit. The filters are washable and last up to 10 years, which saves you money on maintenance.
