High-tech homes keep getting more innovative, and the Trane® Home mobile app leads the pack in creating smarter, more efficient comfort.
Did you forget to change the temperature before you left the house? There’s an app for that. Want to monitor the air quality inside your home from anywhere in the world? There’s an app for that, too. Want a more straightforward way to schedule on and off cycles for your HVAC system to fit your lifestyle better? Interested in saving energy? Need a hub that works seamlessly with your other smart comfort devices? Yep. The app again.
Connecting your smart comfort system to the Trane® Home app will allow you to adjust, schedule, manage and monitor your HVAC usage from your phone, tablet, or computer.
What is the Trane® Home Mobile App?
Using the Trane® Home app on any device, homeowners can remotely set heating and cooling schedules, adjust the temperature, control light fixtures, manage appliances, operate door locks, arm and disarm security systems, and more. The Trane® Home app is the first home automation system to offer active, remote air quality monitoring using Awair Element sensors. Monitor temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, and VOC levels, along with reporting on sound levels and the amount of light in the home.
The Trane HVAC system works behind the scenes to automatically act if levels fall below ideal conditions for a user’s settings. Alternatively, Trane® technicians can now access and make recommendations based on IAQ scores for opt-in customers.
What’s So Smart About the Trane® Home App?
The first benefit of the Trane® Home App is the ability to control your home’s heating and air conditioning systems remotely, allowing savings on energy use while also keeping your home comfortable. Whether you forgot to turn down the AC when you left in the morning or are coming home earlier than planned, the Modes feature lets you adjust the temperature from any web-enabled device. In addition, Modes makes it simple to program your system before a vacation or extended period away from home.
The Scheduling feature is the second step for optimizing your system with Trane Home. It’s user-friendly to program your thermostat to control temperatures that fit your routine, whether at home, away, or snoozing in bed. Scheduling also provides the ability to view energy consumption, which can help you fine-tune your climate for the lowest possible heating and cooling bills. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that you could save about 10 percent a year on cooling and heating costs by using a programmable thermostat.
Trane® Home is Compatible with Amazon Alexa® & Google Home®!
Trane Home offers a variety of other intelligent functions to customize your comfort, too. You can check current weather conditions with the touch of a button or connect with Alexa® or Google Home® to control your home’s temperature with voice commands. With compatible accessories, you can even automate lights and fans or use motion detectors to turn systems on and off.
Get Started with the Trane® Home App.
To use Trane® Home, you’ll need active broadband internet, a sufficient Wi-Fi signal, and one of Trane’s four smart thermostats: Trane® ComfortLink II XL1050, XL850, XL824, or XL 724. Download the app to your phone or tablet and create an account on the online portal, and you’ll be ready to start customizing your Trane Home experience.
